I know, I know.

He (I think lalake ang ref namin, ramdam ko) survived three kids. Eight years and three kids.

Because I can. And I will.

Salamat!

  • General Electric (11 cu. ft.)
  • Regular, hindi "no frost"
  • Nagamit for 8 years

Be happy for me, k? :)

I will let you in on a little secret. Please don't judge. Of all the usual reasons and considerations in buying your first home, the only one that got me oh so excited about living in a vertical village is... drum roll... access to the pool area! I love, love, love swimming. And after a very lengthy and frustrating wait, the pool areas finally opened last month.

Well, the sad thing is, now that there is water, there is hardly enough time to be in it. I'm working on it, chill.

DISCLAIMER: Sorry, photo overload. Piscean delight!

Finally!

Late post from 02/22/14, 1PM

After a year's worth of delay (usual turnover problem in the Philippines), two failed inspection sessions (ever heard of "kapak" tiles?) and one encounter with a property tour guide from hell (she told us that we can't test if the faucets and power switches/outlets are working)... we finally got the keys!

This is a 2-bedroom fully furnished unit at SM Jazz Residences. We have yet to move in as we need the place renovated. We need to put in elements that will help us maximize the small space in Meketeh Ceteh that we can afford. We also need to ensure that the unit will be able to address our needs for the next seven years (because the next big dream is to have a real house by then! pray for us!).

Kitchen. Bye bye LPG days. I will need to adjust to electric stove cooking.

I didn't like the photos of the bathroom that I took. But it's the most "spacious" room in the house. I don't understand why. Anyways, we're very excited to see this baby transform into what and how we envisioned it will and should be.

Speaking of excitement, one of the biggest reasons behind my excitement is ready... but not yet operational. This is the view of the 6/F. The tower's pool area. The common area for the four towers, where the olympic size pool, more kiddie pools, function rooms/clubhouse area and jogging path are, is still under construction. So yeah, I don't see why we should be paying association dues without the complete set of amenities we signed up for. But what can you do against the good guys? Blah.

Two more months, or so they say...

So many things to prepare, so little time.... but we don't need another delay.

October, October, October! Are we ready?!?

We need to:

1. See the unit to figure out which items we can sell (it's fully furnished, we can't have two of everything)
2. Figure out where we'll do the laundry. :(
3. Estimate updated monthly expenses for utilities
4. Feel if we are (indeed) ready for condo living.
5. More, more, more as we discover more, more, more...

We don't know when...

SMDC, supposedly the good guys, messed up their Jazz Residences project management plans. We don't know, at this point, when the turnover will be... some say Q1, some say Q2... we say WTF because regardless of the duration of delay, bank financing starts in January. It's going to be our non-performing asset, performing for SMDC and BDO, from January until whenever...

Anyhow, here are some recent images (06/16/12)  from the showroom with our unit's property owner. :)
