Working Mom Goals


















2013 was the year when I finally accomplished this goal --- not work when I'm not in the office. I am very proud because this journey took a decade to accomplish. And now I'm ready for a fresh set of goals. In my mind, these will make me earn more mommy/wifey points.

1. Work for 9 hours per workday. No extended shifts.
2. Time my breaks - exactly one hour total per shift and follow the 2-hour gaps in between
3. An hour of quality time, every work day, for the kids
4. One email per day for the hubby (and not about errands)

I feel that these are manageable given that I'm no longer a manager. If that ever happens again... good luck to the goals. Pray for me. Please?

And the long weekend ends...


With Eggs Ben and a three-hour conversation about careers, lottery, poverty, kiddie parties and an optimistic view about our 40's. We're not in Baguio, Boracay or Palawan. But it's been great celebrating our 6th wedding anniversary through a coffee series. Beggars can't be choosy. And I tell you, these parent beggars are happy.

Testing Blogaway App

Ampayat naman ni Ate dito, nakakainis!

Speaking of payat, may kumakalat na balita na pumapayat na raw ako. Buti naman kung gayon dahil walang katapusan ang aking Anti-Baboy Campaigns. Beep-beep, preno muna, pasintabi sa mga masaya sa kanilang bouncing baby love handles. Ayus lang yun kung yun ang trip mo. Blog ko naman ito kaya ako ang pinag-uusapan, k?

So back to my neverending schemes to be hot. 2012 noong nagsimula akong mangarap na iluwa ang isa pang ako. South Beach diet sabay yoga ang tema. Repeater ako, at ang isa pang kaibigan na itatago natin sa pangalang AC, sa Phase 1 at Phase 2. Ang hirap ng walang naghahanda ng healthy kambing foods. Di na kami umabot sa Phase 3. Pero in fairness, nabawasan ng kaunti ang timbang. Ayun, ang ending, nabuntis ang lola niyo.




















Pagkatapos magluwal ng bata, balik sa #balikalindog program. Nagsimula ako sa ganitong pauso noong November 2014:

  • No rice
  • No colored/flavored liquid (pwera sa kape na di ko kayang talunin)
  • More water
  • Daily walks (minimum 30 minutes)
  • Tapos, natutunan ko pay kay IM ang tungkol sa MyFitnessPal. Ito ay isang App na parang mahaderang kaibigan na binibilangan ka sa calories. 

Ang lahat ng ito ay nagbunga ng tumataginting na bawas 10 ugly pounds. Ayus na. Kailangan ko na lang husayan pa at labanan ang kanin. At siyempre kailangan ng exercise. Ang pagpipilian ay yoga at swimming sana kaso wala akong pera. Siguro dapat ko tiisin ang lumbay na hatid sa akin ng pagtakbo. Hmmm... reunion na ba ito with Couch To 5K?

I'm sooo back!

Yeah, I like doing that as if people care. Haha! Anyhoo, I've been rabidly posting in Facebook because I have needs and Zuckerberg's baby is such a convenient option. Hope that becomes a "was" this year and for keeps.

Wait a minute, NEEDS? Big word, huh? I have a bitch of a need to write and play with images (mine or from the omnipotent collection of Google Images). Blogging is self-serving necessity in my messy life. If you like it here, thanks. But know that this is more for me than for anyone else. I hope they don't pull the plug on Blogger anytime soon. 

Did you like my incoherent and disorganized text? Yes, that's how I write here. In every single post, I can imagine the editor extraordinaire hubby cringe. Hehe...
