A dear friend told me,
Please write about pain.
After four days of soul searching
and mind bending
and meditating,
I am staring at an empty page,
wondering how,
and why I can't write about pain.
It's possibly because I've been told
I am wrong. A hundred times over.
I have no right, no reason,
no evidence.
And since I am not allowed,
I must obey. For all that I am worth,
for all my hurt and unimportance,
I must not write about my very important pain.
But I just did. Didn't I?
