Thursday (05/03/12), Picnic Day

Fruit and Vegetable Picnic day at the school playground.

TLO with Apple Something on her head (siya nga kaya
ang nagkulay nung apple or inutos na naman sa iba?)

Picnic mat set-up. Kewl.
Kids' assignment - bring fruits and veggies for sharing. Umulan ng prutas.

Chance ko na ito magpa-bibo. Tadaaann!!! Fruit BBQ.

Kainin mo ang gawa ni mommy! Um!

Friday (04/27/12), Swimming Day

A note from Teacher Monique said that the kids were going to have a swimming activity. I got a little worried, thinking that the kids will be going to some sort of out-of-town "field trip" without parents. I was wrong, thank God! The kiddie pools were set-up in the school playground.

One for boys, one for girls (nothing yet for those in between)

Kids LOVE water. This boy couldn't wait for swimming time

TLO and some of her classmates... look at the little girl in skimpy bikini!
TLO, D and Teacher Monique. I am not yet ready for a world where little
girls wear skimpy bikinis. I'm scared.

Sometimes, TLO  turns into someone I don't know... She enjoys her bath time at home but when the activity started, she refused to be in the pool. After several prodding and begging attempts, she agreed to be "in the pool" but she just stayed in one place. She didn't play with the rest of the girls. I have to admit that her "uniqueness" could sometimes suck the life out of me.

Teacher Monique trying to convince TLO to play
After almost 30 minutes of playing barnacle to her side of the pool,
TLO started moving! She attempted to "play" with some of the girls too.
Just like DIESEL I guess... warm-up period's required?
She's the last girl standing.. in the pool.

I want to get inked

Darker violet, white text... back of right hand.

Something that I read, in preparation for getting hitched, used a very powerful visual image...this image on your partner's forehead. I was inspired to "see it" on the forehead of anyone and everyone I care about.

It's not easy (especially with family) but I feel that I'm getting better at handling people with utmost care through:
  • not forgetting to say thank you, excuse me, sorry
  • not interrupting
  • not shooting messengers of bad news
  • listening before saying anything
  • using empathy statements

Because I care so much about these things, I wish for other people to care about it too. I wish to be handled like I'm fragile. And maybe getting this image on my skin will make it easier, for anyone who matters to me, to remember.

In the name of love

I don't run. I don't jog. I walk.

The last time I literally ran for dear life was 11 years ago - February 12, 2001. Hubby and I covered this event for the university publication and on our way home, some drug addict thought it'd be cool to kill some random kids (me and Hubby). He pursued us... memory still makes me cringe.

Anyways, Hubby's company partnered with the organizers of Forbes Park 2012's Earth Run. They're going to select a UP Diliman scholar and they'll sponsor the blessed kid's education on his/her last two years in college.

So tomorrow, I'll run. 5K. Well, we're planning to walk, jog and run.

Wish us well. And if you know me, please pledge. I don't understand how these things work and it only dawned on me, this morning that I have to help raise funds... not just show my love for the Managing Editor.

Tomorrow, I'll know if it's true... that too much love can kill you.

Haha!

Everdearest Gagamgirl

Kung mayaman ako, this will be yours come Monday evening.

For your brilliance and all the shades of green you've brought to my life... our lives. For the questions you ask, whether shared or otherwise. For your infinite gift in the process of creation. And everything else you dare dream to become.... You will never grow old.

You are loved.
